Why I Write

Writing is a part of who I am

Even as a child

Give purpose

Communicate.

Clarify my thoughts

Make sense out of chaos

Voice my feelings

Share, or not.

Focus my ideas

Make the relevant important

Articulate the senses to encourage understanding

Connect with the reader.

Persuade others to agree with me

Be disagreeable

Reread my words and take time to think

Teach through my personal experience.

Shock or provide solace with my words

Express through my fingertips: anger, sadness, joy, and laughter

Explore different voices

Make the everyday extraordinary or the uncommon mundane.

Writing is power.

Bit by bit, that’s all she wrote….
